Torpedo Sand

Torpedo sand is a coarse, washed sand with larger, angular particles that provide excellent drainage and compaction properties. It is commonly used as a base material for pavers, concrete, and road construction, as well as for backfilling trenches and improving soil drainage. Due to its gritty texture and stability, torpedo sand is ideal for areas requiring strong support while allowing water to filter through efficiently. It is also used in mixing concrete and for traction on icy surfaces during winter.

• 100-120 square feet at a 2-inch depth
• 65-80 square feet at a 3-inch depth
